Merry Christmas 2007, Kroegers! We're trying something a little different this year: a blog format, which will not only require less work by the webmaster, but will also allow us to comment on each others' lists. Keep it clean; this is still a family blog! Access lists by clicking on the name to the right (under the "Wish Lists" heading). If you cannot click on a name, that person has not yet submitted a list. See you in Medina...

Hey Vikki--I always look to your list for interesting book ideas. I'm always looking for stuff to read--do you have any recommendations?
not sure who's asking (tho i assume it's karen), so i can't tailor my suggestions, but here are some good books i've read this year:
"animal, vegetable, miracle" by barbara kingsolver
"the omnivore's dilemma" by michael pollan
(clearly food is a prominent theme throughout my life)
"the places in between" by rory stewart
"the kite runner" by khaled hosseini
(this year, afghanistan was another)
i'll try to come up with some others, but with all my books packed up it's hard to remember what i've read all year. if it's not there looking at me from the shelf, you know....it's like it never existed.
dude, that was Nate asking...
Hey Vikki, if Norm gets his grow light he might be producing some of that hemp lotion in the near future
And the chances of him sharing that are?
